AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LIP AUGMENTATION?
Good candidates for a lip lift or other lip augmentation procedures generally include women who have one or more of the following aesthetic concerns:

While non-surgical treatments like cosmetic injectables are often used to temporarily minimize many of these issues, women and men looking for a more effective long-term solution are generally considered better candidates for lip surgery.
HOW IS A LIP AUGMENTATION PERFORMED?
Many individuals seeking a lip lift have an elongated upper lip and minimal “tooth show." Using techniques that allow virtually undetectable incision placement, Dr. Gerecci can elevate the upper lip for a more defined pout, increased upper lip visibility, and a rejuvenated appearance in the lips. The procedure can also be used to enhance the Cupid’s bow or lift downturned corners of the lips.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER LIP AUGMENTATION SURGERY
3-4 days after surgical lip procedures, Dr. Gerecci will see the patient in clinic, check incisions, and go over wound care instructions. Sutures will remain in place for five to seven days. Swelling is expected, so patients must use cool compresses and keep the head elevated to help reduce bruising and swelling. Individuals who have undergone lip enhancement surgery usually have minimal downtime of one to two weeks before returning to work.
ARE THERE NON-SURGICAL ALTERNATIVES TO LIP AUGMENTATION?
The most commonly used technique for lip enhancement is the non-surgical placement of dermal fillers and sometimes neuromodulators. Sometimes fat grafting and transfer can be used.
